How to create your own education: Step 2 - Adding content

Adding content to your newly created patient education resource

Please refer to the help article How to create your own education: Step 1 - Setting it up before following the steps below.

Once you have completed setting up the title, tags, and visibility of your education, you will be brought to this page:

Note: For the best patient experience, we recommend copying, pasting, and formatting your existing patient education documents into Embodia's text editor using the tools detailed below. We do not recommend simply uploading a PDF as these can show up very small, and potentially illegible, in the patient portal on mobile devices.

Types of content

Your education can be made up of any combination of text, links, images, and videos.

Text

Using the text editor, you can write out education instructions or copy and paste them from an existing document.

Use the styling features, such as bolding text or adding bullet points, as you would in a word document:

Patients can play the embedded video directly in their Embodia patient portal, without being redirected outside of the platform.

Tip: This option is particularly useful if you have a large video that exceeds the video size limit (see below).

Uploading a video

Upload a video from your device by clicking on 'Browse' and selecting the video. Then click the Upload button:

Please note: Each video that you upload can be up to 400MB in size. Larger videos can be embedded (see above).

Saving your new patient education

When you're done putting your education material together just click 'Save Education'.

You can come back and edit your education at any time.

If you want to remove the education altogether click the 'Delete' button (under Edit Options).

Note: Once an education has been shared with a patient it can no longer be deleted.
